At Midwest Top Gun we have two goals. 1. Get our players exposure on college recruiting circuit to carry their lacrosse game to the next level. 2. Develop each player to play at the next level. Upon joining the lacrosse club , TG coaches and players meet up one-on-one to discuss the college interests of the player. We then take those interests and use our network of college coaches to find the perfect fit for each of our players.
Players receive top echelon instruction from our coaches. Coaches Leff & Kimsey offer the perfect balance for each player that comes through our program. Coach Leff was a 2x All-Conference selection in the lacrosse hotbed that is Long Island. His love for lacrosse is deep-rooted in his family’s appreciation for the sport. Growing up on Long Island Dan maintains relationships with many D1, D2, D3 lacrosse programs across the country. Today Dan is the asst coach at 5x LAKC champion Shawnee Mission East (KS).
Coach Kimsey has 10+ years experience coaching at the high school and collegiate level - most recently as the head coach of at the University of Saint Mary where he coached for 5 years. In 2015 Coach Kimsey was awarded the GRLC Division II Coach of the Year. In 2017 he led the Spires into the NAIA National Tournament, and consistently had the Spires in the top 10 in the NAIA post-season polls during his time at USM. Coach Kimsey currently is the Director of Lacrosse for Just Play Sports Solutions, and works closely with many DI, II, III & NAIA coaches around the country.
The passion for lacrosse, as well as the insight that our two coaches offer is what sets our program apart from others in the Midwest. From player development to advocating for our players with top collegiate programs, we strive to develop and grow these young men on and off the field in the game we love. We are here to support our Top Gun family in any way that we can because we know that nothing beats family.
